Meet Emily Moran, M.Ed., LPA

Emily Moran, M.Ed., LPA is a Licensed Psychological Associate in Louisville, Kentucky, with over seven years of specialized experience providing comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents. Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Louisville in 2013, followed by her Master’s in Education in Counseling & Personnel Services (Counseling Psychology concentration) in 2018. She is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology and has extensive training in assessing cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning in children and young adults ages 3–21. Before joining Direct Pediatrics in February 2025, Emily worked in a school-based setting, where she partnered with educators and families to design individualized learning and support plans that improved both academic performance and emotional well-being.

Emily provides psychological evaluations for children, teens, and young adults across a wide range of concerns, including:

- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluations

- ADHD assessments & attention difficulties

- Learning disabilities and learning differences

- Emotional and behavioral challenges (anxiety, depression, mood regulation)

- Developmental and cognitive concerns

Emily’s approach to testing is personal and thoughtful. She believes psychological testing is about more than just giving a diagnosis — it’s about truly understanding your child. Her approach highlights each child’s strengths, identifies areas where support is needed, and provides families with practical recommendations. Parents leave with clear next steps and actionable strategies to help their child thrive at home, in school, and in life.
