Behavioral coaching · Louisville, KY

Is this a phase, or something more?

Dr. Steve Johnson is both a pediatrician and a child psychologist. Bring him the question you've been turning over, and leave with a plan. Parent coaching, open to every family, members or not.

Is this normal for my child's age?

Should we wait and watch, or act now?

Would therapy help, or is this a parenting question?

Is it time for testing, or a diagnosis?

Who do we need: the doctor, a therapist, or the school?

Both options end the same way: with a plan you can start on right away.

Option 1: parent strategy session

“What should we do next, and how do we do it well?”

Not the same as full psychological testing

These packages are not a full psychoeducational evaluation. They give faster access, answer a focused question, and help you decide whether full testing is needed at all. Many families do not need it. Some clearly do.

A comprehensive evaluation with our psychologist adds:

  • IQ testing
  • Academic achievement testing
  • A full cognitive and learning profile
  • A formal written report for schools and IEPs
